MeshCore by Andy Delgado
Less infrastructure.
More connection.
MeshCore is a way to send text messages over radio. It works without cell service, Wi-Fi, or internet. Andy Delgado is using it to build a local message network in the Nacogdoches and Lufkin area of East Texas.

What is it?
Text messaging that runs on radio
Most messaging apps need the internet. MeshCore is different. MeshCore lets compatible radio devices exchange short text messages over the air. Many devices connect to a phone or computer so you can type and read messages. Some have their own screen and controls. Repeaters relay messages to help extend the network's reach. Delivery depends on the available radio paths, device settings, and local conditions.
You do not need a call sign to take part. You do need a compatible radio device and a clear-enough path between devices for the signal to travel.

EastTexasMeshNet
EastTexasMeshNet is a small, local project. Neighbors are testing devices, learning what works in the woods and hills of East Texas, and finding good spots for repeaters. The goal is a friendly network that stays useful when other systems do not.
This is a learning project, not a finished service. Some links are working today. Others are plans for the future.
